Autopartswarehouse.com Brings You the Black 1967 Chevy Imapala This Time Around

In line with the last post which featured “Reaper,” I am bringing you the main car used in the cult T.V. paranormal show, “Supernatural.” I’m sure that by now, pretty much everyone knows about this show. If you’re not a fan of the show, then chances are you must’ve at least heard about it. The show leans toward more drama and scary things as compared to “Reaper” (the latter reminds me of a lighter version of “Ghostbusters”). The plot of the show is that the two Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean, go to different places tracking down and hunting the supernatural. This entire ghost hunting stint is connected to eventually finding the demon that killed their mother and Sam’s girlfriend. It’s actually a good show and some of their episodes were actually pretty scary across all the seasons they’ve shown.
In this show, the character Dean is pretty much in love with his car – a black 1967 Chevy Impala. It seems as if there isn’t one episode that doesn’t imply Dean’s obsession with his car. This car model was named after an antelope that can run so fast you would probably eat its dust if you would ever race with it. The Impala car was unveiled to the public back at 1958 by Chevrolet, which was a group under General Motors. The 1967 Chevy Impala houses a 4.1-liter inline 6-cylinder engine with 250 cid 155 bhp. It has a B-body platform and an FR layout. This two-door mean machine also had another engine choice: 283 cid 195-220 bhp Turbo Fire V8 engine (a big-block V8).
Impalas are still being manufactured until today. One of the recognitions they had received was the Fleet Car of the Year award (2006 and 2007) from the Automotive Fleet and Business Fleet magazines. It is rumored that for the 2010 model, the Chevy Impala will be going through major overhauling in terms of designs.
